The Problem

The privacy and data non-profit, recognized as the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community, asked for our assistance with a substantial website redesign. They were faced with a significant increase in visitor volume and a massive amount of site content. The non-profit needed to enhance user experience and improve content organization.

Through user testing and site mapping, it was revealed that visitors had difficulty locating information and found many pages lengthy and overwhelming.

The Soultion

  • Website Redesign

    • Re-design of all Main Landing Pages

    • Re-design of Content Heavy Sub-Pages

Research

Site mapping was a crucial part of the research for this project because it provided a clear and organized visual representation of the website's structure.

This allowed us to identify areas where users struggled to navigate and locate information, pinpoint redundancies, and streamline content.

By understanding the current user flow and interactions, we were able to design a more intuitive layout that improved overall user experience and ensured that important information was easily accessible.

Solution #1: Mega Menu Navigation Design

Our introduction of a Mega Menu for the privacy and data non-profit was a significant enhancement in content organization.

The Mega Menu serves as an intuitive navigation tool, streamlining access to all website content.

With clear categorization and clickable links, this addition ensures that visitors can quickly explore and locate the information they need. This menu style contributes to a more user-centric and efficient browsing experience.

Solution #2: Website Redesign

The privacy and data non-profit needed a complete site revamp. They had a wealth of important information, but their users were overwhelmed and couldn't find what they were looking for. In our redesign of the website, we prioritized a seamless user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints, as user testing showed that their users were on all devices. We approached the design with reusable components tailored to each page.

By doing this, we ensured visual consistency and simplified development. The result is an engaging and responsive website, blending design and technology for improved content organization and user satisfaction.

Solution #3: Reusable Component Library

By strategically implementing these components, we've achieved visual consistency across various pages, ensuring a cohesive and polished appearance.

This not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also simplifies ongoing development efforts, making updates and additions more efficient. The use of reusable components represents a forward-thinking approach that not only improves the site's current state but also establishes a foundation for scalable and sustainable growth, aligning with the nonprofit's evolving needs.

Additionally, our strategic implementation of reusable components not only ensured visual consistency across diverse pages but also streamlined development processes for increased efficiency. These enhancements collectively transformed the site, fostering an intuitive user experience, efficient content management, and a forward-looking foundation for future growth.
